— Cheri Lindsey

Originally Established in 1948

IN THE SPRING OF 1948, PAUL AND FRANCES LINDSEY FIRST OPENED LINDSEY’S AS
a take-out, fried clam restaurant. Paul and Frances’ mission was simple; use only the freshest seafood and ingredients serve delicious homemade food with a smile and keep everything extremely clean. The community responded to that, and soon Lindsey’s became the destination for anyone traveling to and from the Cape.

Then, in 1979, the second generation of the Lindsey family continued their original mission. Paul “Buzzy” Lindsey set about remodeling the restaurant while upholding his parents’ devotion to quality. In 1997, Buzzy and his wife, Cheri continued to update and expand the family business, while maintaining Lindsey’s family atmosphere.

Today, Cheri Lindsey upholds the family traditions while successfully keeping the restaurant fresh with home cooked recipes made from scratch and a warm family atmosphere. Over the years Lindsey’s has expanded their services to include catering for all occasions and online ordering for our Seafood Bisque, Chowders and Gift Certificates as well as our popular “Happy as a Clam” merchandise that can be shipped all year round.

What our Customers Say:

Family restaurant indeed. No pretentions, just good food and easy service. The bisque and chowder passed the spoon test and were delicious. Had a shrimp special that was equally so. Common theme amongst the dishes: quantity of seafood. The bisque was lumpy with meat, the entree had more shrimp than penne it was placed on top of…hyperbole, but not without a nugget of truth. Overall very good experience and recommended.

As far as I’m concerned there is no better place on the cape to get clam chowder than Lindsay’s family restaurant. I will often drive 45 minutes from my home to go there just to get two or three quarts of it to bring home along with their clam cakes which are second to none. The food is always hot and fresh, the wait staff is friendly and you can just take your time and enjoy your meal and play a couple of games of Keno if you like. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants

Some of the best seafood I’ve had on the Cape. The clam chowder was creamy and delicious, with big chunks of clams. I had the fried clam plate, which was done to perfection, slightly sweet, but not stringy. My sister had the fish and chips plate. Really nice looking fillets and not overcooked. My girlfriend had the shrimp plate, also fried , which she was impressed with. Our waitress Michelle was knowledgeable and friendly without being overbearing. This a must go place if your on the Cape.
